Departments

We have our team divided into seperate departments to complement team member's skills and help fuel there engineering interest. Check out the information and jobs of each department.

The build team is responsible for the handling of main raw materials needed to design the robot. Responsibilities include construction an development of the primary structure of the robots for competition. They work closely with the Electronics and Programming group when constructing the robots movement system, as well as the rest of the team during planning sessions. The Build Team takes on many challenges every day, and are always there to make everyone feel included and safe.

Building Deptartment

The programming and electronics department are truly the secret heroes of our team. Each competition, that take on the difficult task of working with different scripts operating systems to ensure that every aspect of our robot is functional. In addition, they work with the Building Department to configure the layout with the robot to make sure all the wires, motors, and anything in between are accounted for. They have saved our tails many times when our robot has been malfunctioning during a competition as well. Both of our "first mates" are on the programming and electronics department: Nathan Firkus and Paul Yates.

Although you don't often think about this when you consider what a Robotics Team consists of, the Spirit Department is crucial to the team's success. It is the intelligent, creative minds of these students that not only built this website, but also present business plans to companies, network with other teams and acquire sponsorship,  and come up with original themes for each competition. The Spirit Department also focuses on finding opportunities to give back to our local area.
